Air Circuit Breaker is a mechanical switching device that is capable of making, carrying and breaking current under normal circuit conditions, and also carry the same for a specified time and breaks current under specified abnormal circuit conditions. Air circuit breakers are used to distribute electric energy and protect lines and power supply equipment from faults such as overloads, under voltages, short circuits, etc.
